Me:
โOkay, this is the last take.โ
๐๏ธ Take #1 โ Nope.
๐๏ธ Take #2 โ Better.
๐๏ธ Take #3 โ Almost.
๐๏ธ Take #4 โ THAT was the one! ๐
๐๏ธ Take #5 โ Waitโฆ I can do it better.
๐๏ธ Take #6 โ Why did I suddenly forget how to play? ๐ณ
๐๏ธ Take #7 โ Okay, definitely the last one.
๐๏ธ Take #8 โ I hate everything.
๐๏ธ Take #9 โ Actuallyโฆ Take #3 was pretty good.
๐๏ธ Take #10 โ LET'S START OVER.
๐
And somehow, after spending three hours recording a 30-second part, you end up choosing the take where you made the tiny mistake that nobody else would ever notice.
Because apparently musicians don't record music.
We negotiate with perfection. ๐ถ๐
Musicians, please tell me I'm not alone:
How many takes does it usually take you to get the one you're happy with? ๐

hahaha... totally relatable! I love write songs... the words often just flow. But mannnn, finding the right music vibe for my songs is the hardest part.

"writing" I meant to say... ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Wow, spelling mistakes are really not good for a songwriter's reputation! ๐
