Community Building: A Completely Normal Day

Me: “I’m going to build an amazing community!” Me: 3 hours later: • Posted something nobody saw. • Asked a question. Got 2 likes. One was my mother. • Welcomed a new member who immediately disappeared. • Started a meaningful conversation… with myself. • Checked the member count 17 times. • Wondered if everyone is pretending they didn't see their invite. • Decided to post again tomorrow. • Realized tomorrow is already today. Community building is easy. You just need to consistently show up, listen, help people, start conversations, build relationships, create value, earn trust, understand your members, keep people engaged… …while occasionally wondering if anyone is actually reading anything you post.
